Google me
OK I admit to it I can be a bit narcissistic at times, so every now and then I google my name with
"Tony White"

Well as the results show up the first item is my website
http://www.ynot1.com.au/
the second is my biography
www.ynot1.com.au/magazines/WPATA%20bio.cwk%20(WP).pdf
the ninth is my ausweblogs blog
http://www.ausweblogs.com/users/ynot1/?p=74
At first I thought this is a bit odd and I would more likely be on the 10th page. As the search shows there are thousands and thousands of "me". I thought perhaps this is happening because I am searching from my computer. So I asked a friend to do a search and it came up the same for hers. She said that the order is based on the number of hits you get. Is that right?
If so I even got more than Tony Joe White!
Remember Polk Salad Annie
Yours truly

I remember the song but not the singer. A relative perhaps?

Firstly I died aged 74 in 2007 and then I became a research officer with the royal college of music. I never knew I was that creative.
Actually I will try to recall what term I googled, I think it was about either astrology or maybe adversarial transference, and Ken came up in number one spot! I laughed at the coincidence that I 'know' you.
Posted by: kahless | Friday, 04 July 2008
And if you google the term pissoem I come in at number 1 and 2 cos I think I may have invented the word. Not sure I will research that tonight.
Tony, it isn't just hits that get you up the rankings; it is also about how your site is optimised. I know cos my company recently rewrote their site to enable them to get up the page rankings. I don't know the details though.

Hey Kahless, what's "pissoem "?
Posted by: Gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
A piss poor poem!
Posted by: kahless | Friday, 04 July 2008
A pissoem I like that Kahless. I'm curled up in bed with my doon, the news and lara the laptop. I do like wireless !!
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
I am at work pretending to look busy. I have papers spread out in front of me and I look like I am deep in thought!
I have an important meeting at 11am to noon and then I will work from home this afternoon.
Posted by: kahless | Friday, 04 July 2008
I'm not even pretending, but then I'm not at work. Friday night has arrived. I really must get out of bed shortly and get some tucker. I think my body might appreciate that. I reckon bacon and eggs tonight maybe.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Bacon and egg buttie - I want one!
You've got me salivating now :-)
Mrs K is away for 5 days so I can eat dead unhealthy. I think I will get some bacon and eggs in
Yummy!
Posted by: kahless | Friday, 04 July 2008
Started something, didn't I? and it was lovely. I don't have a bacon and egg buttie. I have eggs on toast with bacon, and the toast with jam. Aussies think I'm nutz. if I have any, a tin of baked beans finishes it off nicely. continue to salivate, Kahless.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Yeah. The baked beans - yum. Don't know about the jam toast though. Have to give that one a try - not tomorrow but maybe Sunday. Have a lovely snuggly time in bed with your laptop. It is just a tad Brrrrr.

I've had to get out of bed, Roses. I can't cook bacon and eggs from my bed, much to my disgust. but it is waiting. and it is Friday night, so the alarm goes off and I don't have to listen to it for another couple of days.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
You still let the alarm go off in the morning? Ours goes off at 5.30. I don't want that to happen on a weekend morning in winter. Geez, it's still the middle of the night at 5.30am! Might as well be.
Posted by: roses | Friday, 04 July 2008
Roses, 530 a.m. doesn't exist in my house. And the only time it goes off is when I have to go to work in the a.m. Hence the alarm goes off Friday night and back on again sunday night !!
5:30 roses, are you nutz?? That time only exists when you don't go to bed the night before.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Alarm gets turned off, Roses. that's what I mean :-)
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Ohh but you know that i go to bed sometimes so early the night before. I don't get up though i should. I would like to tell you that after hubby leaves for work at around... 5.45am i spring out of bed and skip into the living room and treddle on my deadly treddly till 7am then cool down with a yoga dvd or pilaties (sp?). I just told you - but i don't do it. But i must say that i do enjoy tai chi. I hope to remember the whole routine one day.
The 5.30 thing doesn't happen well with me i'm afraid.
Posted by: roses | Friday, 04 July 2008
Yes i heard you say that you turn it off after friday morning till sunday night. Thank you for clarifying that Gez

Happy 4th July Gezunda
Posted by: kahless | Friday, 04 July 2008
I reckon anyone who gets up at that time of the a.m. is nutz. Except peoples who has to go to work. but you can stay in bed, all toasty warum. I like that. It's a nice feeling to be nice and toasty warum and not have to get out of bed.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
You betcha! The cat and dog snuggle up with me in the midnight like hours of the morning. It's so nice.
Yeah, i don't work - I'm broken, but hubby works. He needs a check up every now and again though.
Posted by: roses | Friday, 04 July 2008
Poor Roses is broken. But you do work. You do all the houses stuffs that nobody likes to do. That's work. You just don't get paid for it like he does.
A cat and a dawg in the bed, all nice and toasty warum. Mmmmmm.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
I can't seem to link up to other blogs. My internet thingy won't let me. So annoying!
Yeah, they (the cat and dog) used to lie on the end of the bed all night but we couldn't move freely during the night so they have to sleep in their own beds then, but in the morning, they are allowed to hop up with me.
Strange isn't it - that once awake it's just dozing that happens after? But it's feels so nice to be warm and keep looking at the clock till 7 - 7.30. So nice.
Actually, they don't get under the covers much. I don't think they like it. *shrugs*

I know a 15 year old that calls his parents from his bed to ask them for a cup of tea. Otherwise he makes 4-5 cups of tea and takes them to bedroom, so he doesn't have to get up a few times. He likes to stay in bed all day unfortunately.
Its nice and cosy in bed isn't it

Ally dawg doesn't sleep on the bed. I got her when she was 2-1/2 and was only used to being outside, so getting up on the bed is the cat's privilege. She sleeps on the couch instead. Damn. Who runs this house - me or them - I guess it's them
Time to head off and watch some veg out tv.
Catcha laterer Roses.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Ohh Ken - it's nice. Don't the cuppa's get cold? I think i'd have to take a thermus with me. Pre-tea-ed. And because it's early morning and my first cuppa - sweetened too!
Posted by: roses | Friday, 04 July 2008
Ok Gez. I forget - it's only like 7.30 or so over there. Have a lovely relaxing night.
Posted by: roses | Friday, 04 July 2008
Ok, no one about. Have a great week end. Sleep tight - have lovely dreams - and have a great weekend!

I saw in my stats today that DeBunkem gave me a visit.
Tony
Posted by: Tony | Friday, 04 July 2008
Kewl. I've sent him an email but he's not responded. I was hoping to meet him when I'm in the UK. Debunkem, if you are there, send me an email. I want to visit you.
Posted by: gezunda | Friday, 04 July 2008
Roses,
I reckon you work quite hard around the house.
And my dogs sleep on the bed most nights. They snuggle in when they are cold in winter. We bought a 6ft bed so there was enough room for the lot of us.

The top google results for my name are for me...but I google myself a lot. That sounds dirty, doesn't it? Actually the top result is for a site I haven't logged onto in more than a year. So I wonder why that is. The internets, she is a mystery to me.
Posted by: April | Saturday, 05 July 2008
I like that,April. Can we get someone to make a song "I google myself" !!! :-)
Posted by: gezunda | Saturday, 05 July 2008
I have googled myself one, it was deeply unsatifying. Luckily a visit to a self-help group cured me of this affliction.
