Sign, sign everywhere a sign

By now you all know how I am often banging on about graffiti and what it represents in youth and so forth. Well guess what?

Last nite my front wall got graffitied and here it is

Graffiti1

So what do you do with it? I suppose when you first see it is is a bit of a shock. It is very bright and and probably covers a square meter. I guess when it happens to people’s homes they go straight into their racket. Some get angry, some get sad or frustrated I suppose.

I took a minute to look at it and it certainly is on the artistic end of the graffiti continuum. Actually I think it looks quite good. So I think I will keep it there for a few weeks/months and then get the council to paint over it and wait for the next one.

Its not one of my clients Tony. I know all my tagger's tags.

I agree it is a pretty good one. I hope that other taggers see the exposure potential and add their tags on your wall too. If you want that is, Tony?

My first thought...

was it one of your clients or blog readers who tagged your wall?

?
:-)

Not too sure who was the artist, so I guess it could be anyone, blogger or otherwise

maybe it's a message from the universe

Graffiti,

I went to a footie match today...

It was abandoned 5 minutes from end due to crowd trouble - there was a pitch invasion and a tussle ensued with one of the players.

The match was pretty boring up to that point (a non league match where the players are part-time. The crowd was about 500!)

There was part of me that wished I was out there invading the pitch and being a rebel.

And that same part of me thinks wouldn't it be cool if someone who reads your blog had Graffiti'd your wall. Its kind of cool in a way dont you think?
(no offense meant, I am sure I'd be really pissed if it was my wall)
Its the kind of thing that you'd want to do but never have the guts to do.

Maybe it was the guy up the street who graffiti'd the concrete previously?
Ooooh, the intrigue!

Oh and a question; when something happens and shocks us - is that when we are most likely to display our racket feeling?

eg, last weekend i picked up my brand new pair of glasses. I proceeded to loose them whilst still in town. (Yeh I know, a dumbo)
My reaction when I realised this - would that probably be my racket?

Posted by: kahless | Sunday, 20 July 2008

Oh I found them in the end. I had left them inm a shop.

Posted by: kahless | Sunday, 20 July 2008

Kahless it depends on the incident and the importance in your mind.

If you go, oh, well shit happens. then no.

If you go into, damn, how stupid am I? or there you go it just goes to prove that...... , then yes, the feelings you have are likely to be your racket feelings and the thoughts will be your script beliefs about yourself, the world or other people.

Hope you didn't mind me answering for Tony.

Hello Kahless,

I agree with most of what Gezunda said. Let me say what she said in different words. The more you stay in Adult about the event the less you will have a racket feeling. If you go into Child and have a feeling reaction to it then it is very likely that it will be your racket

Well they could have graffitied me because of my blog Kahless but the same tag is all the way down the street. So I suppose in each of those houses there is also a person called graffiti.

Maybe you are right April,

It was a message from the universe. that is a positive way of understanding graffiti
